About Ear Candling – a safe and alternative method for ear care. Experience the powerful, soothing benefits of the ancient healing art of Ear Candling.
What is Ear Candling?
Ear Candling, also known as Ear Coning, is a safe and all natural therapy for gently removing excess wax and toxins from inside the ears. Long, tapered cones are inserted into the ears and lit. The herbal smoke generated works to draw debris out of the ear by osmosis. The entire process is very relaxing and noninvasive.
What Are The Benefits of Ear Candling?
The ear candling process is known to detoxify the lymphatic system and clear the sinuses, which can also improve the clarity of hearing, sight, smell and taste. More subtle changes may occur on an energy level resulting in greater emotional stability and an overall sense of well-being.
What Are The Ear Cones Made Of?
The cones are made of strips of unbleached 100% cotton dipped into a mixture of beeswax and herbs in the form of extracts, oils, or essences. Extracts are used by contemporary cone-makers because many people are allergic to molds in dried herbs.
How Does Ear Candling Work?
An ear candle, sometimes called an ear cone, is a long hollow tube tapered to a hand-finished tip that fits comfortably into the ear. The large end of the candle is lit and the smoke created spirals down through the ear canal. The warmth of the smoke gently dislodges foreign debris, softens old earwax and helps to evaporate excess moisture. This is believed to relieve earache pain, provide relief from the pressure in the sinuses and allow the ear to naturally push out the earwax.
Does Ear Candling Hurt?
No! There is no discomfort. It is a very relaxing and soothing therapy. Some people nod off to sleep during this treatment.
How Long Does It Take?
It takes about 45 minutes. (approximately 20 minutes for each ear)
How Frequently Should Ear Candling Be Done?
In the beginning, we suggest 3 candlings, 3 to 7 days apart. After the initial process, it is suggested you clean your ears once a month or when you feel the need. Most people know when it is time to have their ears done.
Who Should Not Have Ear Candling Done?
Anyone who has had any ear, nose, throat or sinus surgery or has had tubes in their ears in the last year. The same holds true of anyone with tumors in the ear, a puncture or bleeding eardrum or any other serious ear conditions.
